About - Vida Down The Aisle

Welcome to Vida, I’m Natasha

Meet Natasha, the author of Vida Down the Aisle. #VidaDowntheAisle #WeddingPlanning #WeddingPlanningTips

I am SO excited that you are here!

My name is NATASHA and I was once an overwhelmed bride, frustrated with the entire wedding industry and wedding planning process. That frustration fueled my desire to create a space that would help every bride after me have a less overwhelming planning experience than I did.

My hope is to:

  • Provide information that will help you plan out your wedding budget
  • Make informed wedding vendor decisions
  • Reduce the number of choices that can quickly feel overwhelming
  • Focus on daydreaming about your wedding rather than stressing about it!

I believe that you should be living your best VIDA(life in Spanish) when you are wedding planning rather than feeling bogged down with details and drama. (and let me tell you, I went through that drama so I get it!)

A little bit about my story…

3 months before my wedding, I fired my wedding planner and I only had a venue and one other vendor booked, the photographer. I was that bride that had imagined her wedding since she was a little girl and wanted the most magical event. I was determined to get every tiny detail the way I had imagined it. In the months leading up to our wedding, we were also house hunting and closed on a home right around when we fired our wedding planner. Yup, this meant we were also moving 3 months before our wedding! Oh, and I forgot to mention we were both working full-time. How in the world was I supposed to have time to deal with all this?!

Let’s just say I was not the blushing bride-to-be that I had always imagined I would be.  With my frazzled hair and bitten-down nails, I was so stressed that I was feeling completely disconnected from what the wedding was actually about.

I was SO lucky to find an amazing wedding planner that came on board last minute and helped pull my vision together. However, I found myself desperately wanting to change the experience that is wedding planning today.

I am now on the other end of wedding planning, living in Silicon Valley with my husband and daughter. My happy place is when I am home with them. By day, I am a marketer for a large biotech company in the Bay Area.

Why I started this blog…

I have a crazy passion for planning and found myself trying to help my friends and family through their wedding planning experience as much as I possibly could. I hope to save as many future brides from the stress that I experienced by sharing what I have learned. Not only do I love planning, but I also just love weddings and creating gorgeous experiences that remain memories for the rest of your life.. or should I say for the rest of your VIDA!
